Description
A tropical and sub-tropical tree in the Rutaceae family that is native to the Indian subcontinent of Asia. The leaves, known as curry leaves are used in many dishes and traditional medicines in India. It’s a relatively small, quick growing tree, that reaches a max of about 20 feet in height (if allowed) with a 16 inch diameter trunk. Self pollinating flowers create bunches of small edible black berries or drupes that have a uniquely sweet flavor.
